New Year, New Start.... Starting in the weight department ;)

Hi guys,

So I know I'm not exactly fat, But there is still a few areas I wouldn't mind working on. I have my 21st on January 28th and I want to look my best, So I'm giving up everything that's nice!
I decided that instead of making excuses and waiting til the 1st I might as well get stuck in now. So I went to Tesco's and picked up everything that's low fat.

For dinner tonight I made a scrumdiddlyumptious meal and I thought I would share it with you! I'm all about the cheap food too. None of this M&S stuff! :P

Ingredients:

50g Sliced White Bread
Zest of 1 Lemon
A few fresh chives, Chopped
4 Salmon Fillets
100g Philadelphia Light with Garlic and Herbs


Reciepe:

Pre-heat the oven to 180.c/350.f/Gas mark 4. Place the bread in a food processor and blend the breadcrumbs. Grate the zest of one lemon. Mix the chives, Zest and breadcrumbs together.

Spread the salmon fillets with a thick layer of the Philadelphia and place on a lightly oiled baking tray. Top with the flavoured breadcrumbs, lightly pressing them into the Philadelphia. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until cooked.

Cook the potatoes and whatever veg you like. I steamed Broccoli, Sugar Snap Peas and Carrots.

 There is only 400kcal per portion.

It was absolutely delish, I would have gone back for seconds if I let myself. But no-one ever got skinny going back for seconds did they? ;)


I ate at 6pm and it filled me up. Then at about 8 I started getting peckish. Unlike the rest of the family I didn't dig in to the Ice-cream cake or the crisps. I went for this instead:

And I even managed to stop myself eating the whole thing. I just had a few spoonfuls to take the edge off my hunger... Now let's see if I can last the night without getting up and making a turkey and mayo sandwich *Dribble*!

Isa Dora Lippysticks

Hi Curly Wurly's,

So I went out to the chemist the other night just for a look with no intentions of actually buying anything. I went out with my friend Clare and guess what? Isa Dora just happened to have a sale :/ And I can not resist the beautiful word Sale :)

I picked up these pretty Lipsticks for only €6 each :)

This is the first time that I've bought Isa Dora lipsticks and I can't fault them. They are really moisturising and last a good while.

From left to right:
No:80 Ice cream Pink
No:115 Frosted Coral
No:128 Rose Coral
No:145 Nude Cream.

I shall try to do some looks with them soon to show you guys how they actually look :)

IT'S CHRISTMASSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Curly Wurly's,

I know it's been a while and I really do apologise. I have been working flat out in work with Christmas Parties and all the like so I haven't had time to eat a proper meal not to mention blog. But most of the rush has gone now and I'm happy to say that you guys have my full attention now! :)

I hope everyone has a lovely day and I hope that Santa was good to you all :) I got up at 6am to open my pressies! Tee-hee!

Now with that out of the way I thought that I would share with you some of my favourite things that I got for Christmas.

Wayne and I were naughty last night and we opened out pressies to each other a little early! :P

I nearly dyed when I saw a Brown Thomas bag in the sitting room! ( For those of you who don't know what Brown Thomas is Clicking Here will give you an Idea)

Inside was a beautiful M.A.C make-up case.

It has little sections and pockets along the sides for different bits. This will be perfect for when I'm travelling! The only downside to this present is that I know it wasn't cheap and the fact that a good bit of money was spent on it, There is nothing to actually tell you it's M.A.C. There is M.A.C on the zip and that's it. I think for that kind of money, They could let people know by putting it on the front maybe?

Hidden inside was also a Voucher to get my make-up done by one of the M.A.C girls and a gift card. The gift card was presented beautifully!

Wayne's Sister got me a little hamper made up of all the sweets that I love. I'm hopping off the Lindor as I type this. I don't know how I'm going to have room for Christmas Dinner! :D

It had some Bon Bons, Lindor, Chocolate coins, Maltesers and mini Dairymilk Caramels. Om nom nom!

My sister got me this Cute book on Cakes and also a book on Cake decorating, I LOVE baking :)

She must be able to read me so well because she also got me the Leopard print Iphone cover and the Inbetweeners Movie :) as well as two other Iphone covers, One a Pug (I frickin love pugs) and a penguin one (I have an addiction to all things penguins... Don't ask me why, I just think they're cute!)

The NOT so Secret Santa!

Hi Guys,


So My BFF John and I decided to do a Secret Santa in work. We thought it would be a bit of fun and it's Christmas time so... Why the hell not? :)

We popped everyone's name in a hat and set a limit to €20.

But it didn't quite turn out that way.... John and I decided to be very bold and we rigged the whole thing so that we would get eachother. I'm aware we were naughty to do so but it's only a bit of fun at the end of the day.

I had five days to shop for a present for him and not one day off. You also have to understand that John is an Heir to a hotel alongside many many other things. So what do you get the guy that has everything anyways? So I hit up the Internet and ended up picking him up an €80 pair of Nike Hi-tops. €80 you say? yup... I know, A far cry from the €20 we were supposed to spend but that's just the way John and I operate.

I was literally sweating on Wednesday, Praying that they would come and they did!

We had arranged drinks in the local put to swap gifts and to all have a Christmas drink together. I did my make-up and toddled on down to work (Having already worked and now back in for a split-shift)  :( I didn't get finished until 11.30 at night, by which stage everyone was well on there merry way (Most had been drinking since 7pm!) hence why there are no photo's to put up with me in them!


Below however is an ever so posey photo of how I looked in regards to my Make-up. I had stuck heated curlers in my hair before hand and took them out when I was finished my make-up and getting dressed for work.

Anyways, But on to the good stuff. Soooo.... I finally exchanged presents with John and nearly died when I saw a Brown Thomas Bag (It's where rich people, not me shop). I was actually nervous to open it and then I had this awful feeling of- Oh my god, He got me a Brown Thomas bag and I got him a pair of frickin trainers.

I slowly unwrapped it and nearly fainted when I saw the box!

I would have just been happy with the box but wait until you see these bad boys :P

Aren't they just amazing?

These photo's were taken this morning as I hadn't had a chance to take any before that. Gosh my room looks like a hot pink mess! Sorry :)

OPI is flammable.. Proven! :/

Hi girls,

My shopping trip went pretty well today :) I got Wayne a pair of DC high tips and these cute ass engraved dog tags :) Delighted! I also finished picking up everything for the competition prize :)

While shopping for Wayne I happened to pick myself up a couple of bits :/ My favourite being my new Handbag/Laptop bag. That way I can blog on the go now :)

It's made by LYDC. And is super cute!

It has a nice buckle on the front!

The inside is a lovely pink :) My favourite :D

I did however have an accident today. It turns out False Nails plus OPI= very flammable!

I went to light this candle:

And my finger nail went on fire. Omg it was so sore :( now it's all icky and burnt :(

It doesn't look so bad in the photo but it wouldn't go out! And it was so sore!

Oh well,
I'll fix it in the morning! :D

FOTD :)

Hi guys,

This is just a little blog about what I did with my make-up today. I kept it plain and simple. I'm finishing off Wayne's Christmas presents and I've only a couple more things to get for him so I'm heading down town to pick them up.

Excuse the big wet head, I'm only out of the shower!

I started prepping my face, I used "La Roche Posay" Toleraine Mosturiser all over my face and neck.

I then began Priming my face with NYX HD eye primer and NYX HD face primer.

I then followed with NYX HD foundation and NYX Concealer In a Jar and Rimmel's stay Matte Powder.

Then I started on my eyes. I chose my base Color from my Inglot Palette. It's just a simple nude colour.

 

I put this all over my eye.

I then got my Gosh Kohl black eyeliner and put it all around my eyes.

I took my smudging brush and blended it out both on my upper eyelid and lower lid.

I then took my blending brush with a little bit of light brown eyeshadow and blended away.

I put my Maybelline Cat Eyes Mascara on and filled in my eyebrows with my Gosh eye pencil.

I filled in my lips with my Gosh Long Lasting Lip Liner (Not a good buy, Have only used it about five times and it's nearly all gone.)

And thn popped on some of my Catrice lipstick.

And Voila,

My Face of the Day! :)
*Please excuse my big lumpy bumpy forehead I seem to have broke out all of a sudden :(

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy..... Bad buy!

Hey,

I was in bad need of some perfume the other day and I was in Dublin so I figured i'd pop on in to Boots. I picked up Viva la Juicy by Juicy Couture.

One word.... DON'T!

The bottle is super cute -

 It comes with a cute bow and charms-

and the smell is absolutely DELISH!

You're probably wondering why I am giving it a bad review?

I have had it a week and I have already used half the bottle.

The smell goes after like 15 minutes. Nobody has even noticed that I'm wearing perfume (Usually they can smell it straight away!) I've had to actually ask people can they smell perfume off me and I get the same answer every time.. They give me a sniff and say No! :(

I'm more annoyed at the fact that I spent €57 on a 50ml bottle and it's useless. Even if I drown myself in it, I can't smell it off my clothes and no-one get's that perfume trail as I walk in front of them!

All in all I'm very disappointed. Maybe the people of Juicy Couture should spend less money on the packaging and more money on making a scent that lasts!

Have you ever bought this perfume? Have you had the same problem with it?

Hi girls,

So I figured I'd get into the festive spirit seeing as it's only 11 days til Christmas... I'm actually seriously excited!!

I decided to give OPI's "Houston we have a purple" one more chance. I figured that maybe it was just my nails. So I stuck on my falsies and started painting away.... 5 COATS!!!!!!!! It actually took 5 coats just so that my nails weren't still transparent. NOT IMPRESSED. However I had already gone so far so I figured I might as well keep going.

I had a little helper today watching my every move... :) This is Harvey!

I then followed with OPI's "Divine Swine" from The Muppets Collection. It's a super cute glittery purple colour.

I then finished off with OPI Top Coat.

Drum roll please...............

These photo's make them look like a total mess but they're actually a lot brighter and more glittery in real life!


I'm pretty sure Harvey approves :D

The Smoky Eyed Look

Hi Girls,

Today I just thought that I would share with you how I do my Smoky eyes. I am a serious fan of this look. It's sexy and dramatic and I use it almost every time I go out for the night.

You Will Need :

• Black kohl Eyeliner ^
• A few eye shadows ***
• Black Mascara
• Eyebrow Pencil
• False eyelashes
• Eyelash glue (I use duo adhesive)
• Smudging Brush
• Fluffy Brush
• Pencil Brush
• Blending Brush

^ Choose a Kohl pencil for enhancing all round contour. I never use liquid liner as it's for crisp lines, Not the soft and sultry look we're aiming for.
*The Base color should be a rich  shimmery (Non Metallic) Powder. Choose a shade slightly darker than your skin tone.
**The contour color must be a dark, matte, or slightly shimmery color. Choose between dark brown, blue, green or purple. I always go for black though ;)
*** You can use a third shade to your smoky eyes: A slightly shimmery highlight color applied just under the eyebrows. This will enlarge the eye area and also soften any blunt lines that remain after blending. Your normal facial powder will do the same thing.

Technically It's a small tapered blending but I use it as a Pencil Brush too! (Above)

Now... Down to the fun part :)

How to do it :

1. Apply normal foundation routine including primer, powder, blusher etc. Pack on extra powder under the eyes, I mean loads. This way if there is any fall out from the eye shadows it can just be removed easily at the end.
2. Apply eyeshadow primer all over the lid to create maximum effect.
3. Outline your eye contour with a black Kohl eyeliner all the way around. Make the line thicker along the upper lashes. This doesn't need to be neat and perfect as you will be smudging it anyways! *Image 1*
4. With your smudging brush go over the liner that you just put and smudge. This will create the smokey effect.
5. With a large fluffy brush, Apply your base color eyeshadow all over the eyelid and above the crease (about half way to the eye brows). Get your blending brush and blend together with the smudgy line.
6. With your pencil brush apply your contour color over the eyeliner you put earlier. Half close your eyes and apply the contour color in the crease of the eyelid.* Image 2*
7.  You will now need to define the outside corner of the eye. I use a V. The Middle of the V will be the most outside of the eye. Get your pencil brush and contour color and go over this area.*Image 3*
8. With your blending brush again blend the eye shadows on the upper eyelid.
9. With your pencil brush, Blend the shadow that is on the brush from earlier with the eyeliner on the lower lid.
10. Repeat the contour colour until you build up the desire color, Blending after every application.

11. Apply a highlight color eyeshadow under the brow and blend once more.

     To finish off the look darken the eyebrows. Not too dark that you look ridonkulous (Yes I said Ridonkulous) just slightly darker than your natural brow. Curl your natural eyelashes with an eyelash curler and  add false Eyelashes (The more dramatic the better if you ask me ;)). Use your black mascara to blend your natural lashes in with the false. Add the Black kohl liner to the waterline.
    And Voila!
    Sexy smokey eyes!
