On A Serious Note...

I know you're probably going to think I'm a weirdo for bringing this up. This will not interest everyone and that's okay.

Sometimes, some people need that little extra bit of help. I just want you to know that I have a VERY large pair of ears that are great for listening!

If there is a time in your life that you feel you are struggling, Be it to do with Love, School, Family, Death, Stress.... Absolutely ANYTHING, I'm here to listen and to help if I can. We might not know each other but I'm still here!

I know that sometimes it feels like there is a dark cloud hanging over you that just won't seem to go away, Trust me... I've been there. I also know that there is nothing better than talking about it and getting it off your chest. You should never bottle it all up. It's really not good for you and I don't want for anyone in this world to feel that they have to.

I feel that when I'm having a crappy day and nothing seems to be going my way, there is nothing better than having a chat with someone and for that reason I am offering you guys to do that with me. Having a cry in my books helps everything. Crying to me releases all of that build up inside of you and if you like I can be your snotty rag that helps to wipe them away..( Beautiful image huh?) :)

If anything.... and I mean ANYTHING is bothering you ( be it as small as the fact that you're heartbroken because someone didn't leave you there last rolo) I'm here!

Please feel free to email me at : floppi_boppin@hotmail.com

All emails will be strictly confidential and nothing will ever leave my inbox.

I hope that you don't think that I'm a weirdo for bringing this up or that I'm being to forward, I just figure that if I can help in any way I should! :)
Hope I can help :)
Loads of Love,
Courtenay

My Planned M.a.c Haul with my Birthday money!

Hello There My Loves,

My 21st is fast approaching and when people have asked me "What would you like for your birthday" I have told them Brown Thomas Gift Vouchers! Now I know most of you are at home thinking "Gift Vouchers? What a thoughtless gift." But to me they are GOLD :) I love them for the simple reason that it involves guilt free shopping. You don't have to go to the bank to take out money and watch what you're spending because you have it all on neat little gift cards! Now I know I sound expectant and many of you probably think I'm asking a lot but I don't expect people to be forking out loads. Most will probably only put €21 on the card, but all of those add up! I already have a €40 voucher to spend in store that the Boyfy got me for x-mas!

Below is my wish list for M.a.c in Brown Thomas!

    •  Magically Cool Liquid Powder (Truth and Light)
    •  Prep & Prime Transparent Finishing Powder
    •

    • PowerPoint Eye-Pencil (Engraved)
    • PaintPot (BlackGround)
    • Pigments (Dark Soul, Old Gold, Melon, Vanilla, Nebula)
    • Lip Pencil (Embrace me, Naked Liner, Summer fruit)
    • Lip Conditioner
    • Tinted Lip Conditioner (Fuchsia Fix)
    • Lipstick (Shy Girl, Saint Germain, Plink!, Milan Mode, Viva Glam Gaga, Viva Glam Gaga 2)
    • Dazzleglass( Bare Necessity, Like Venus)
    • 187 Duo Fibre Brush
    • 188 Small Duo Fibre Brush
    • 130 Short Duo Fibre Brush
    • 208 Angled Brow Brush
    • 213 Fluff Brush
    • 228 Mini Shader Brush
    • Brush Cleanser
Now I'm not saying that I will get all of these things, But that these are the things that I would like to get! :)

Anything you guys think that I'm missing? Let me know in a comment below! :)

Thanks guys!

My Slow Growing Nail Varnish Collection and possible O.P.I Dupe?

    Hi lovelies,

I was cleaning up my make-up box earlier and came across my teeny-tiny nail varnish collection. It's quite so teeny tiny because as I work in a hotel I can't have my nails painted as I work with food, So it's not something that I get to do to often but I plan on increasing it as much as I can as I do love Nail Polish! :)

I hope you can read my writing :/ If not just ask :)
It's mainly made up of O.P.I with a random Sally Hansen colour thrown in. I have a couple of others but they are awful so I'm not even going to include them!

As I was putting these polishes on the page so as that I could show you them, I noticed that two were exactly the same!

    La Paz-itively Hot by O.P.I was €12.50
Back To The Fuchsia by Sally Hansen was €6.95

The consistency is the same the only difference is the brushes and to be honest I prefer the Sally Hansen brush as I find it much easier to work with!

Back To The Fuchsia- Left, La Paz-itively Hot- Right
Back To The Fuchsia- Top, La Paz-itively Hot- Bottom
The Sally Hansen brush is much thicker and wider and so for me it's a much better option?

What do you guys think? Do you prefer the skinnier or the thicker brushes? Have you found any other O.P.I dupes?

    Help Please :)

    Hi Lovlies,

    I need your help!

I have been needing a camera for yonks and I want to invest in a good one.. Now I'm not talking like I have thousands to spend,  But a decent camera all the same! I would prefer to have a DSL but I don't have a clue what I'm looking at :P and so I was wondering if you guys could give me some suggestions as to which camera's you guys use and whether you feel that they are good or not?

If you could leave a comment below that would be brilliant! :)
    Thanks Ladies!

    Hello there Lovelies!

So I'm pretty stressed at the moment with it being the week coming up to my 21st!

    • Set the Venue
    • Finish getting decorations
    • Make 100 Cupcakes
    • Make a two tiered cake
    • Get photographs
    • Make a slideshow
    • Go shopping
    • Pick up jewelery
Like seriously the list is actually endless!! It might not seem much to you guys but trying to this while juggling work is too much, So i'm taking some time off!
I only got round to delivering the invites last night and the party is on the 28th!!!!!

I have a voucher to get my make-up done in M.A.C but the only appointments they have are at 10 and 11 am... What use is 10 or 11 am to me? The make-up is hardly going to last until the night, So i've decided i'm going to do it myself! Fingers crossede I don't look like a drag queen!

I have my best friends 21st tomorrow night to attend, With nothing in my bulging wardrobe to wear!

    Okay.....Rant over!

If anyone has any ideas as to how I should do my make-up please feel free and leve a comment or a link below! As Tesco's say.... Every little helps! :)

    Make-Up Clean-Up!

    Hello there my Lovlies,

I decided to do a make-up clean-up today. Most of my make-up is coated in a glittery mess because my M.a.c Mayhem mineralize eyeshadow decided to burst and go EVERYWHERE! Literally everything got covered!

    As you can see....
As I was cleaning everything up I came across my "Inglot" Palettes and thought they deserved a bit of recognition! I bought these one day along side loads of other things. I went on to the Inglot website and picked out loads of things, Made a list and went up the next day. The quality of these products are FANFIDDLYTASTIC! Honestly. I would happily compare them to M.a.c except you can half the price tag!

Firstly I'll show you the eyeshadow Palette, It cost €40 filled and I got to pick out the colours!

Below are the swatches, Going left to right. Top first and then bottom.

The colour Pay-off is just right and I use this palette any time I go out. These colours that I picked don't have funky names or anything, They simply have numbers, which is a bit of a sad thing because I love looking at all the random names brands like "M.a.c" and "O.p.i" pick.

Next is my Contouring Palette which was €20, The size of the products are huge!

I must highlight much more than I contour! :P

The next is my Blusher palette which was also €20 but doesn't seem to get much of a look in really. I have so many blushers and my favourite is "Well Dressed" by M.a.c, But this still comes in handy when I'm in the mood for a bit of a change!

All in all I think they are a really good buy and very affordable.
If you have questions as regards to any of the colours then just leave me a little comment below and I'll let you know :)

I also came across these two Dazzleglass's in the colour's "Pretty Plush" and "Ample Pink" that ashamedly I had completely forgotten about.

Hope you guys are all having a lovely day!

    Face of the night.

    My Lovlies,

I went to a work colleagues 21st last night and I just thought that I would share with you My make-up.

    I used the following Products:
    • La Roche Posay Moisturiser
    • Nyx HD Studio Photogenic Primer
    • Nyx HD Eye primer
    • Lancome Photogenic Ultra Comfort Foundation for Dry Skin No. 1
    • Nyx Concealer in a Jar
    • Inglot Smokey Shadow Palette
    • Rimmel Translucent Powder
    • Inglot Face Blush No. 39
    • Maybelline Cat Eyes Mascara
    • Red Cherry false lashes
    • Kate by Rimmel Nude Lipstick (No. Unknown)
I just thought I would take this opportunity to show you as well how much of a difference false eyelashes make. The first photo I have none in and the second I have applied them!

Do you guys have an obsession with false eyelashes too? Or am I on my own in this one?..!

    Mini Haul :) Part 2

    Continued....

I then popped on in to Hairspray. I LOVE this store. It has everything from make-up to false nails to hair extensions. As soon as I walked in the door there was a sign and a giant display thing saying "Any two products for €3".. I was sold!

I picked up some false toe-nails, I've never used them before and the idea of it kind of freaks me out, But realistically I hate feet ( Even my own!!!) and the least amount of time I have to spend trying to make them look pretty, The better! I bought two pairs for €3 so I was delighted!

Then I saw the eyeslashes and I was in HEAVEN! I love false eyelashes and I wear them quite often. They didn't however have everyday eyelashes in the sale section, But I did see a few that caught my eye. I figured someone sometime will need some funky eyelashes, Be it for fancy dress or for Halloween. I picked up 6 pairs in all kinds of wacky colours.

I also popped some glitters into my basket. I know what you're thinking..."Glitter..?..How random!" But I wanted to get some to brighten up some of my boring clear nail varnishes and also If i was ever having a wild day that I fancy just glittering myself up, I was now stocked up! I know... what kind of person glitters themselves up but I really was just trying to justify spending €3.00 on the worlds most tiniest pots of glitter when in reality I could just got to my local art and hobby store and get a much larger pot for much less!

Anyways... Enough of the glittery blubbering on....

Next store was Inglot. I love this brand of make-up! If you haven't looked in to it already, You should! It's affordable and I believe, to be of a very high standard!

I asked the lady to pick me out an everyday foundation. Yes I am aware that I already have about twenty but I really wanted something just for day wear in work as I'm getting tired of having to route through them all just to find one for the day, So this one is going in a separate box so it's easier to find. She chose the " Inglot AMC cream foundation" for me. It has a dewy finish which I'm delighted about and if I want I can always just add some powder! The foundation came in at just €20 (Much cheaper than M.A.C)
I also picked up two blushers in shades 36 and 39. Two bubblegum pink colours, One glittery and one matte. They came in at €15 each. They have good pigment and are true to colour :)

    How cute is that bag!

    Thanks so much for reading,
Have you guys gone shopping much recently? Did anyone else get good offers in any stores?

Trip to Dublin and Mini Haul :) Part 1

    Hi Lovlies,

This week I had a day off and instead of just lounging around for the day, Wayne asked me did I want to pop up to Dublin. He had broken his Iphone earlier on in the week so we had to go up to get it replaced. I jumped at the chance as it meant that I got to have a look around the shops. We didn't end up leaving until around 3 though so it didn't give me much time to look again we got there.

First stop was Lush :) I was walking past the store and all the yummy smells wafting (Yes... I said wafting) out the door just dragged me inside. I instantly went over to the Bath bomb section and picked myself up

    • "The Magic Wand Bubble Bar".
The Site Says: A reusable bubble bar star that gives mounds of sweet-smelling foam.
This is a solid version of our best selling Snow Fairy shower gel for those who prefer to bath.
The magic of this version is that you can wave your wand under the water until you have the amount of bubbles you want – then you just stash it somewhere safe to dry off, ready for when you next bath.
We’ve included pink ribbon and a bell, because if you are going to wave your wand, then you need some added drama and special effects!
You should get several baths from this, depending on how much bubbly magic you want in your bath.  Each one will leave you smelling of candy floss and pear drops. Baths don’t get more yummy or more girly than this.

My Opinion:  This smells delish and I have already used it three times and still have some left. I bought it on sale as it's about to go out of stock and sadly it's the end of the line. :( I asked the lady did she think that they would be getting it in again and I just got a shoulder shrug :/ I got it for 50% off so I only paid €3.13 instead of €6.25. Bargain if you ask me ;) It leaves my skin feeling really nice and smooth and when I wake up in the morning I can still smell it off me which to me is a total plus! Definitely recommend buying it especially as it's on sale. You can buy it half price on the website too, Just click here. I give it ***** (5 stars)
    • "The Comforter".(200g)

The Site Says: This isn’t called the Comforter for nothing. We threw everything we had at this one, to make it warming, comforting and reassuring. We wanted a bath that gave the same sense of safety and calm that your favourite teddy, your comfort blanket or a snuggly scarf gives.
At times when you feel you need to protect yourself from the world  - immerse yourself in this pink bath and allow the familiar oils to envelop you in a comforting berry scented embrace.
We wanted this bar to give maximum comfort, so we’ve made it twice as big as the other bubble bars, to give you lots of nurturing baths.
By using a solid bubble bath, you are eliminating the need for packaging on your product. Liquid products need preservatives, but solid products like this don't. Better for you and better for the environment; what a comforting thought!

My Opinion:  This bath bar is stunning. It has absolutely everything that I would want in one. I had just finished work and I ran myself a much deserved bath and decided to use "The Comforter". I went to break it into a few pieces so I could get a few baths out of it as this thing is HUGE! I decided to break it over the bath to avoid mess and guess what? The whole thing frickin well fell in. I had only ran the hot water at this stage so I nearly scalded myself trying to get it out and eventually just gave up! The water instantly turned pink so I said, What the heck, I'll Just have a super pink bubbly bath :P I turned on the cold tap and walked out of the bathroom to get my towel and bits sorted, came back in and the bath was nearly over flowing with bubbles. I couldn't wait to jump in to the cloud like berry smelling bath of amazingness!  It left my skin feeling squeaky clean and smelt divine. Just a word of advice, Don't put the whole thing in! I think it's very good value for money (If I hadn't have dropped it in the water I reckon I would have got at least 4 baths out of it, If not more). This wasn't on sale and I paid €6.25 for it, A little on the expensive side at first glance but when you think about it, I would have got 4 or more uses out of it and it's not packed full of harsh chemicals like most other brands! You can also buy this online.
    I rate this *****(5 Stars)

I hope this hasn't been too much rambling for you guys! I get a bit excited when it comes to all things yummy smelling :)

    Much Love,

    Major Apologies

    My Lovlies,

I'm so sorry I have been neglecting you guys. My work roster has been insane and I haven't had much time to myself recently. I did however over the past while pick up some stuff in bits and pieces and I have been trying them out. This way I can give you guys a proper review on certain items. I have a few lined up and I have been careful to store all my reciepts etc so I can give you the price as well.!

Hope everyone is doing well :)

I'll be doing a few posts today to try to catch up on things! :) I'm having a lazy Sunday and I'm refusing to get out of bed for anything other than food! :D
