Time to Dye!

Hey Curly Wurly's.

So it's that time again when my roots are starting to show and my hair is getting dull, So i decided it was time to go to the chemist to pick up a hair dye. I stumbled across this bad boy and the shop assistant said that she had only heard good reviews, So I decided to give it a go.
It is the John Frieda Precision Foam Colour in the shade 4BG( Dark Chocolate Brown).
At under €9, I thought why the hell not!
To prep myself, I washed my hair yesterday. Never dye on freshly washed hair as it doesn't really cling to your hair. I also went around my forehead and the sides of my face with vaseline so that if I got any on it I could just wipe it off! Pity my ears didn't get the same treatment... Let's just say they're a lovely shade of brown! ;)

I was a bit skeptical doing it on my own as usually I just get my sister to do it but she is working crazy hours at the moment so I thought I'd go ahead and do it on my ownie-own!
It comes with the following in the box-
As well as an instruction leaflet. The gloves might I add were made for five year old little girl hands. Either that or I'm just in Fat-Hand Denial!

As you can see from the photo below my roots were starting to show. This is a before photo. I kinda look like I'm balding but it's just the light!

I couldn't really take photo's while I was in the process because I had the foam all over the gloves and I didn't really want chocolate brown Iphone!

The photo above is while I was waiting for the colour to develop. It goes on in a white hair mousse like consistency and darkens as it's working. I found this really handy as I could see where I had put it and where I had missed. (I had no make-up on so I looked super pale and the t-shirt belongs to Wayne! I didn't want to ruin my clothes!)

I put the conditioner in afterwards and oh my lord did it smell DELISH! The instructions told me to only use some of it and to keep the rest for my next shower to prolong the color, However it was only a small bottle and I ended up having to use it all to properly coat my hair. The results were really good though. I have super soft yummy smelling hair now! :)

This is an after shot of my hair. The quality is super bad though because I took it on my Iphone and it looks like it has a reddish hue of it. Bit it doesn't!
I would definitely purchase this dye again as it was simple to use and affordable with good results!

What kind of dye do you use? Have you guys tried this one too?
Loads of love,
Courtenay
